TecuhciztecatlOctober 24th, 2004 Lela Cargill Unframed Art Print Tecuhciztecatl is the Aztec sixth day god. He represents the moon. There is a legend that a rabbit was smashed on his face to dim his brightness. And since he is a night time god, he also represents death. Lela Cargill is a new artist to the Austin, Texas area. She has traveled extensively in Mexico and studied Aztec and Maya art for many years. She is currently working in acrylics on canvas and creating products at CafePress and has many more gods to paint. Original Art Print - Unframed My art is based on research, actual site visits, and a wonderful book by Tomas J. Filsinger - "The Aztec Cosmos" Popular Aztec Products: |
